Q: What do kits comprise of ?
A: A single 'kit' will not make a Roman blind as we have decided to package the bits separately to give you flexibility so you don't buy items you may not need.
There are lifting kits.
This is the mechanism and rail and cords to lift the fabric up and down.
There are rod kits. Two choices…There are the 'no sew' bars that slide onto the laminated fabric
Or
iron on-tapes with 4mm fibreglass rods.
A service of cut lengths of fusible lining.
This is in white or cream.
Q: Which system should I use?
A: The REMUS system is the favourite as it eliminates the cords & cleat that most people seem to detest. However there are some rules that will govern
your choice. See our suggestions charts.
Q: Are electric operation roman blinds available?
A: Yes, email or phone us for details & info pack. The track can be custom made up for you to fit your cover in the same way as the side chain system.
It is low voltage & does not normally require an electrician.
Q: my blind will be quite heavy with blackout &interliner,
which system is best for this weight?
A: There is a technical specification
chart that shows weight limitations. If in doubt, then phone/email us because we do have other systems for really heavy stuff.
Q: how do I calculate my blind weight?
A: There is a help page to get a reasonable estimate. This help page tabulates weights of textiles, rods linings etc
